The story about nails
A little boy had a bad temper. His father gave him some nails and said, “When you lose your temper, hammer a nail into the wall.” The first day, he hammered 37 nails. As time went by, he had fewer and fewer nails. He thought it was easier to hold his temper than to hammer the nails into the wall. Then, he didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it. His father said, “Pull out one nail, every time you can hold your temper.” At last, the little boy pulled out all the nails. The father took his son to the wall, and said, “Look at the holes in the wall. The wall will never be the same as before. What you say in anger can hurt other peo. No matter how many times you say ‘I’m sorry’, the wound is still there.”
